Events/Meetings

The Indiana Academy of Science conducts or sponsors a variety of activities.  Annual meetings during provide opportunities for members to interact with colleagues, share information, and compare notes.  Special meetings and field trips are occasionally held in various locations throughout the state.

In addition to the regular meetings of the Academy, the Junior Academy of Science provides opportunities for high school students to meet with other students in an academically challenging environment and present the results of their research projects to the public.

The Academy schedules BioBlitz events to provide snapshots of the flora and fauna of areas of special interest in IndianaIndiana scientists participating in these events provide a wealth of knowledge about the state’s natural history.

Annual Indiana Academy of Science Meeting

The Annual meeting of the Indiana Academy of Science will bring together hundreds of Indiana's premier scientists, science educators, undergraduate and graduate students, representative of the fields of Anthropology, Botany, Cell Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Ecology, Engineering, Entomology, Environmental Quality, History of Science, Mathematics, Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Physics and Astronomy, Plant Systematics and Biodiversity, Psychology, Science Education, and Zoology. Participants will receive the opportunity to dialog with colleagues from the State of Indiana and the Midwest, and share their research. The Annual Academy Meeting is a regular meeting of the Indiana Academy of Science, and includes a Members business meeting.
