The Indiana Junior Academy of Science
The Indiana Junior Academy of Science symposium (IJAS) provides an excellent opportunity for high school students and teachers to attend a professional scientific meeting where students can interact with prominent senior scientists and participate in a variety of educational activities. Attendance at IJAS is limited to member schools.
Who should participate in IJAS? Since the meeting is comprised of a variety of activities, IJAS is a great opportunity for science students of all levels--from the hard-core researcher to the student who enjoys general problem solving. The four primary activities at the meeting are: The Problem Solving Exam, The Research Paper Competition, The Issues Presentation Competition, and The Outstanding Junior Scientist Competition.
