Liz holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Butler University and has a strong background in education, having served as a middle and high school science teacher for three years. This experience fostered a deep passion for science education, which continues to guide her work today.
Since joining the nonprofit sector in 2019, Liz has played a pivotal role in event planning and community engagement, advancing to leadership roles in 2023. She has successfully secured over a million dollars through grant writing and fundraising efforts, helping organizations fund projects that make a meaningful impact. This hands-on experience, combined with her dedication to science and community, positions Liz to effectively lead the Indiana Academy of Science as it continues to foster scientific collaboration, education, and innovation throughout the state.
Liz is excited to build upon the organization’s strong foundation, connecting with partners and members to create opportunities that will shape the future of science in Indiana.
