What Are The Types of Membership In The Academy?
Member
This is the standard membership category for practicing scientists in educational institutions, in business and industry, and in government who wish to participate in and support the activities of the Academy. Members receive Proceedings of the Indiana Academy of Science, newsletters, and announcements.
Sustaining Member
This membership category provides the opportunity for individuals to be recognized for an additional degree of support to the Academy and its work. Sustaining members receive all the rights and benefits of Members in addition to special recognition for support.
Associate Member
This membership category provides an opportunity for persons interested in science to become affiliated with and to support the activities of the Academy. Such persons shall neither hold office nor automatically receive publications.
Student Member
This membership category is for pre-college, college and university undergraduate and graduate students. Student membership is limited to five years. Student members receive the Academy newsletters and announcements.
Club Member
This membership is available to school science clubs. Any junior or senior high school science club in Indiana may, on recommendation of the Director of the Junior Academy of Science, be elected to Club Membership.
Life Member
This membership is available to any member of the Academy in good standing. Life members receive Proceedings, newsletters, and announcements.
Corporate Member
This category is open to any for-profit corporation. Contact the Executive Director for more information.
Institutional Member
This category is open to any non-profit organizations, such as colleges and universities. Contact the Executive Director for more information.
